What does a dumpster rental cost, and what does the price include?

A dumpster rental costs one flat-rate base price per size, set by season. Our base price includes delivery, pickup, rental days and the included weight: 2 tons in a 10-yard, 2.5 in a 15-yard, 3 in a 20-yard and 4 in a 30-yard, each with 7 days. The 40-yard's weight and days are on your quote.

What extra fees can be added to a dumpster rental?

Six extra charges can be added to a dumpster rental, and each has a set amount: $75 per ton over the included weight, $25 per extra day, $50 per tire, mattress or Freon appliance, a $125 dry-run fee, a $50 same-day rush fee, and a new rental for each swap. Ask about any other charge for your address on the call, and it goes on your written quote.

Why do dumpster prices differ from town to town?

Dumpster prices differ by town because of three costs: the landfill's charge per ton, the miles the truck drives each way, and the debris type. Heavy loads like concrete use up the weight limit fast, while long rural drives add truck time. Two quotes for the same size can differ for these reasons.

  • Landfill fees. Each landfill sets its own rate per ton. The tons included in your price are tons we pay the landfill for.
  • Distance. We cover about 80 miles around Abilene. A drop in Snyder or Breckenridge takes more truck time than one in Tye. See our service areas.
  • Debris. Clean, unmixed concrete or dirt can qualify for special clean-fill pricing. Ask on the call. See concrete and dirt dumpsters.
  • Season. The base price is set by season, so a spring quote can differ from a fall quote.

How can you keep your dumpster bill low?

The lowest dumpster bill comes from the right size, the right load and the right timing. A size that fits your debris avoids a second haul. Keeping weight under the included tons avoids overage. Scheduling delivery for the day work starts avoids extra days. A clear drop spot avoids the $125 dry-run fee.

  1. Pick the size with the dumpster size picker. Too small means a swap, billed as a new rental.
  2. Estimate weight first. Shingles, tile and plaster fill the weight limit before the box looks full.
  3. Keep tires, mattresses and fridges out if you can recycle them elsewhere. Each costs $50 in the dumpster.
  4. Cover the load before rain. Wet debris weighs more on the scale.
  5. Load level with the rim. Overfilled loads can't leave your property.

Is a cheap dumpster rental really cheaper?

A cheap dumpster rental is only cheaper if the final bill stays low. A low sticker price with fewer included tons, fewer days or an unstated overage rate can cost more after pickup. Compare the included tons, rental days, overage rate per ton and when the final invoice arrives.

Dumpster pricing questions

Why don't you list a dollar price for each size online?

The flat-rate base price changes with the season, so we quote the current number by phone. Everything else that can change your bill is listed on this page with its exact amount.

Is tax included in the base price?

Ask for the tax amount when you get your quote. The quote lists the size, days, included tons, delivery and pickup, and the $75 per ton overage rate.

Do you charge a fuel or environmental surcharge?

The only extra charges we bill are the ones in the fee table on this page. If a charge isn't on your quote, it isn't on your bill.

What does a 20-yard dumpster cost compared with a 30-yard?

The 30-yard dumpster has a higher base price but includes 4 tons instead of 3. For a large job, one 30-yard often costs less than two 20-yard hauls. Call for both prices side by side.

Is there a cheaper way to get rid of concrete?

Clean concrete with nothing mixed in can qualify for special clean-fill pricing in a 10- or 15-yard dumpster. Ask about it when you book.
